Luggage
The moment you buy luggage you know there's no going back. A plane ticket is a plane ticket. Could be used anytime. A great excuse for a vacation.
But the moment you buy a four-piece luggage set, you know why you have that one way ticket.
I loved pulling the bag along the store, up the escalator and through the parking lot. In 11 days it won't be so easy. Add about twenty books, all the shoes and the full closet...and let's not forget my collection of glasswear and accessories...and you've got an over-sized bag that will be rejected in customs.
After all, I need to personalize the non-existing apartment. Speaking of apartment, I had a positive experience today. I found a really lovely place last night and I've been emailing back and forth with the owner. It is being shown this weekend and I need everyone to cross everything they've got that it doesn't get taken. It is really big, bright and the furniture is tasteful.
I can truly have guests! There will be room to have guests!
Maybe my new four-piece luggage set will go great with my new potential apartment. Maybe this is a sign I've been waiting for.
Oh, and to sweeten the cake even more. The laptop I want went on sale! My Amex has never been so busy.
Overall, not a bad day. And tomorrow is my going away party. Things are looking up.
