It's Over
Tuesday was officially my last day at TDN.
The editor who brought me on for the internship wanted to have lunch with me. So we did, except she spent half of it talking in Turkish to other writers from the paper (how rude). This is something I've experienced during my stay here. Even though everyone speaks in English, the editorial meetings would be in Turkish when they clearly saw that I was sitting at the table. Rudeness.
Then she yelled at me for the other half. I haven't explained anything that went on with editing and my job there. I am too tired to explain it. I am glad to be out of there. Let them run the paper their own way and if they get shut down one day, well, I told them so comes to mind.
I can go into details over alcohol. Only over alcohol.
Last night I went out with a friend from work. She took me to a great kebab place. It was amazing. Delicious. Everything I ever wanted from a piece of chicken. Then we went to the metal bar and had a great time talking and listening to music. We were going to go to the cemetery after, but it was already 3 in the morning.
A review on a restaurant in Izmir is in today's paper.
French cuisine in the heart of Izmir.
I still have three articles to write.
I will be doing them when I return to Toronto.
I fly out on Monday. The countdown is on.
