Vancouver Gal
Getting around Vancouver is incredibly easy. I think Europe taught me well when it comes to reading maps and getting myself familiarized with a brand new city. I know how to get around without a problem and everyone is so friendly and cultured here that no problem - ask any question.
Went to Stanley Park today. Didn't think we would walk along the whole sea wall, but it did happen! I was exhausted towards the end. After all, I was wearing flip-flops. Those aren't shoes. Tomorrow the mountains.
I need to write something about the owners of this house. They are amazing people! I lucked out. Did I mention that before? They treat me like I am their daughter or something. They are looking out for me. If I ever need anything big to be delivered from a store....like my case of water or something else, just to let them know and they'll do it for me.
My Mac crashed. I've had it for 2 days and it already crashed. Thought Macs aren't supposed to crash!? Susan, the owner, was here explaining the security system and saw how concerned I was and offered to get John, her husband to help me out. I said, no don't worry. I'll just try to reboot. Rebooting didn't do it. I said, no worries, I will call AppleCare. I get a phone call ten minutes later from Susan telling me that John would love to help. He comes down and helps me out. Touches three keys and truly restarts the computer. How nice! See, I lucked out.
I'm really enjoying Vancouver. Reality will soon hit. I will need to actualy do school work. That's why I came here. I finally got to see what Cambie street is like. Sushi place after Sushi place. Organic foods stores and a mall. All within five blocks of my apartment. And downtown is 20 minutes away. Everything is at my finger tips.
So far so good.
