Hospital Lane
Did more investigative journalism today.
Today's mission: Find the UBC Hospital and go to the emergency room or the walk-in clinic. Whichever one was easier.
I got to explore the science section of the campus and it's so much nicer than the fine arts section (where I am at). The buildings are much older. They are covered with red vines. It's located on a hill in a very quiet part of the campus. And the ground is covered not in grass but in ivy.
I went to the hospital because I couldn't move today. More back pains. I went to the walk-in clinic and was told that you actually need an appointment, but if your situation is urgent enough, then there are a couple of emergency spots they have open. Apparently, a pulled back is considered an emergency.
I waited an hour to be given Ibuprofen and muscle relaxants (for the night because they knock you right out).
And a sheet with exercises for the back. I can only accomplish the first exercise. Lie on the floor.
And I am truly a Vancouver gal. I have the Vancouver cold. Half the class has a cold - it's just a runny nose, but I was informed that this happens when there's a drastic change in temperature.
