Going Out

I must admit I haven't been going out a lot.
Work is very draining.

On Friday, it was a co-workers last day. That was the first social event I was invited too. We headed to the Taksim area (of course - and oh, so near my place).

Within three blocks, I went to four different places. I was informed that in Taksim alone there are over 2,000 bars and restaurants, so you never know from what place a particular music is coming from. And, the most interesting feature, all buildings have a rooftop terrace.

After the first place turned out to be rather boring, we decided to go to an authentic Turkish bar. There I was taught how to shake my hips to the music.

I met three Canadian girls who are currently on an exchange program with York.

The metalhead of the department saw that I was getting bored so he asked if I wanted to leave. Of course.

We went to a metal bar, which was literally three doors down. Cover bands mostly play at bars. Rarely will a band play their own stuff.

That was my one real night out on the town. How sad is that.
