Happy Friday 13th!

What a week. Even though it was short, it felt like it would never end.

Two news articles, a multimedia article treatment assignment and boring economics readings. And to end the week we were supposed to have an all day newsroom assignment. I say supposed to because it got cancelled! Happy Friday 13th to me. I am exhausted and the thought of writing one more news article on a 5 p.m. deadline was making me ill.

And to make Friday 13th feel really dreary, the whole UBC campus is under fog. It rolls in from the ocean in patches. I took photos so check out on Flickr!

After class we had our first Thunderbird redesign website meeting and I've been assigned the position of Web Master - I mean, Web Mistress.

In a week I need to have the basic template for the index page and the article page created. There's only four of us interested in this project and while I am busy creating pages from scratch everyone else will be thinking of ways to present all of our information.

Now - did I mention that I have an exam on Tuesday. Gordon is coming to Vancouver between Monday and Wednesday and is staying with me (you may send your comments directly to my email, just go easy on the swearing). An assignment due Thursday and Laurel arrives on Friday. Talk about a busy week. Will be getting my team members to help me with turning in the first step of redesigning the website.

I'm going to put the thoughts of school behind me right now. Going out with the girls tonight. Vancouver is having a Taste of Yaletown festival - a take on Toronto's Summerlicious and Winterlicious event. I made reservations for tonight at a fancy restaurant. We are getting all dressed up. I'm going to wear my new dress! And we are having a glass of wine at my place. After dinner we are going out to a bar/lounge/restaurant for martini's and more partying. That should take my mind off of things.

Tomorrow, I have a date with my law book. AKA: Studying for exam.

Need to go and buy wine...will report on my evening tomorrow.
