Hello City
I got in yesterday at 7:00 p.m.
I've been away from home for four months.
It no longer feels like home. When you're away for so long, your room is no longer yours. I felt the same way after I returned from Europe. I was shocked how I no longer belonged. Now, I cannot call this home. My bed doesn't feel right. There's no room in the closet for my things - it was completely taken over. And my brother even told me that I shouldn't have come.
In four hours I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster. The reason why I came to Toronto so early showed up at my door with tea so we could talk. I barely unpacked and I was already confronted with what happened.
I feel physically drained. The fact that there's a three hour time difference, I cannot sleep. I was up till 3 a.m. My body cannot adjust. My mind doesn't want to accept the fact that I'm here.
