Toronto Vacation

I figured it is time to let you know what I've been up to...

Internship hunting
Friday the 8th I was already back in my old office. I managed to ask for a couple of favours. Sent off resumes to Maclean's, Canadian Business, Today's Parent, Vancouver Sun and even the competition - Canadian Family and Toronto Life. Done and done. Still have a couple of lunches to go to after Christmas and let's keep fingers crossed that something happens.

Lunches and friends
Been having a fabulous time seeing my friends. Too bad they are all going back home to their own families. At least I'll have a week to myself. Maybe I'll read all those books I brought with me that put my suitcase over the weight limit.

Home
I've been cooking a lot at home. I thought it would be nice having meals with someone and then I realized I must have been mistaking my family for someone else's. We never eat together. We are never home at the same time for that to happen. So, I am finding myself eating alone. I am also helping out a lot at home. Being so ever domestic.

Kat sitting
My friend S asked me to feed her kat. Of course, in return to access to her Sex and the City DVDs. I may be changing my mind about having a kat. He's adorable. Meows, purrs, wants belly rubs BUT sheds and the litter box smells. I'm also allergic. This is a test to see how allergic.

Television
I've been watching a lot of T.V. I only have 28 channels in Vancouver (probably a good thing considering the fact that for the first time ever I have full control of the remote).

Catching up on all the shows I cannot watch. WWE, UFC, CSI (all of them) HGTV (any home renovating show), Trading Spaces oh and my favourite, badly edited TBS movies. I would procrastinate to those every weekend. Essays could wait.

So much has changed in WWE. Following news have shocked me and they've all been old news!
Matt and Jeff tag team again.
Lita gone!?
Trish gone - I knew that one
Why is K-Fed pretending he can wrestle?

Things that are still the same:
Edge is still whinny
Thank goodness for Generation X - makes things interesting
Rick Flair is still wrestling
Cena still the champion

It is time I start writing for that show. It can be good again. It can. Let's just repeat that over and over again. If I can make it snow, I can make WWE good again.

Now, there's still no Christmas tree in my house and a pile of presents are sitting on my floor.

Time is flying and I haven't accomplished half of what I wanted to do during the break. But, seeing old friends makes it all worth it.
