Good Times

I left Bukowa on Saturday.

A friend that I met last year with Laurel on our last night in Poland, and with whom I've kept in touch ever since, got in touch with me. I was going to meet him for drinks in the evening.

The original plan fell apart because his friends drank too much the night before.

That's still fine. We ended up going to the same place where we started our goodbye party last year. Unfortunately, the good beer wasn't on tap.

Then we walked through the streets. He showed me his old neighbourhood. We bought rum and coke and he even asked the store clerk to cut a lemon in half. You need to understand something. You can get alcohol with your milk at the corner store. No such thing as liquor stores.

We ended up at a place called The Chillout Club (the name sucks). Having a drink and all of the sudden some of his old friends come up to us. One of them is a drummer for a popular Polish band.

They inform us of an opening of a new club/bar and they are specially invited and we can go with them as well.

No problem.

The place was really nice and he ran into more of his friends there. The night was quite a success and I believe I made it home really early in the morning.
