Vancouver...again

I have no idea when I decided that I would be back in school. I never outwardly announced it to the J-school. I never said it to myself. So, why am I out here?

It must have been because I signed all those SSHRC papers back in April and subconsciously signed away my future.

It was nice turning the key, opening the door and seeing order in my apartment. I unpacked the suitcases and realized my closet shrank (need a larger walk-in...possible reason to move?)

The following day I went to school. It was nice seeing my friends. Not many of them returned. Then I met with the director of the school. She wanted to discuss my marks. At first she announced that I failed a class. She was wrong. Then she told me she wasn't pleased that I got two B's in my second semester external classes. That my marks dropped from A's.

I sat there for five minutes saying that I was sorry for getting sick.

She had all the letters.

She knew everything.

I was put off by her behaviour. I was put off from coming later that evening for a BBQ, but somehow I did it. I met the first years and did have a good time.

Happy new beginning.
