London Day 3 and 4

I have been without the internet for the last two days.

It all started on Sunday at 8 p.m. and I haven't gotten it back until right now, which is Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Sunday was a very easy day for me. One interview with an old friend of mine from elementary school. Who knew that our next reunion would have been in London.

After coffee, I headed to the Polish district of Hammersmith. Found the Polish center, saw the stores and even secured an interview with a restaurant owner.

Then I wanted to see Chicago. It's the one musical that I've been dying to see. Last minute tickets end up being 60 pounds. Still a bit, so didn't decide right away if I wanted to do that. Maybe I'll just pick another musical - there's lots to choose from.

I walked around the city center at night and took some glorious pictures - will upload those soon.

Then upon my return, internet was down. Yikes. Was so upset because Monday I had the most important interviews!

Instead, met one of my roommates (btw, now they are all guys - the girls moved out). Jay - an Aussie - and decided there is no point in sitting around and crying over internet when I can have a pint of beer, or maybe four. That's exactly what we did.

I was up till 3 in the morning drinking water so I wouldn't feel it the next day.

And I didn't.

No internet. Yelled at the landlord guy that it is his responsibility to call the internet company and not mine.

Had to use the library to check where my next interviews are taking place. And I was off. Roehampton University was the first stop. That's near Wimbledon - or at least in that direction. Lovely town. Clean. The buildings full of character and the university was something a bit modern stuck in this ancient town. Neat contrast.

Afterwards it was off to the Polish cultural center for another interview. This one lasted four hours. There was background, there was political chatter/ranting and Polish food. Yummy.

I got home at 10 p.m. and I was brain dead. I was in so much mental pain.

No internet. Was again really upset. Was going to strangle someone at this point. I can't work without internet.

Met more of my flat mates, tried to go out for a beer, pubs closed, got home and did Sudoku until I decided to try the ethernet cable again. This time it worked and I called home and Trevor. Starting to miss him. Maybe I just want company along this journey, but I'm so busy there's no time for it.

I have three more bite marks - it could be bed bugs. I'm going to the pharmacy right now to find out what it is.

Woke up with a soar throat and a stuffed nose. Allergies. There's SO much mold in my room behind my bed. I'm not surprised at all.

Onto day 5. Time flies when you have no time to have fun.
