Happy Monday News

It's been a whirlwind the last two weeks. I've been trying to regain my strength and been doing my hardest to get over the streak of bad luck. Maybe it has finally passed, maybe I'm feeling optimistic - who knows.

I'm afraid I'm not going to complete my thesis on time - meaning April. I'm constantly rewriting anything I hand it because it isn't "good enough." I don't know what good enough is anymore. It's getting me pretty down. Once again, I have different deadlines set and let's just hope I get it all done by April. And if not, I'm fine with that. I can complete my thesis over the summer and graduate in November. Doesn't matter. I've made peace with that.

I did receive some great news. The second interview that I had with WBJ went extremely well. I just received a job offer. The pay is increased by a tiny bit and I still don't know if they will pay for my flight. They better. I haven't said yes yet. Something is holding me back. I'm not certain if I'm ready to make the huge move to Warsaw. It would be amazing to be that close to my family and a support system. But I might find it hard to live off of my salary. I would have to continue freelancing and maybe being in Europe, being a stringer is my option.

I also found out that an article I wrote will be published in the WBJ. I'm so pleased. It's about Canadian immigration being affected by Polish people going to the UK. I have also entered it in an EU journalist contest. The prize: A week in Brussels at the EU. I wish. I wish. I wish.
