Rain, Rain, Go Away
It's been raining since Sunday and the weather report predicts more rain this week.
I get into class this morning and the professor says:
For those of you who are not familiar with Vancouver, this is what you can expect from now on. The rain stops in May. Just wait until you are hit with the diagonal rain and the chilly temperature.
Now...let's talk about interviews...
Umm...great. But, I am not letting a little rain dampen my spirits. I am so in love with my lifestyle and Vancouver right now that a little rain cannot put me in a bad mood. And the sun came out in the afternoon and it was nice and warm. I'm telling you, Vancouver loves me! It's a beautiful relationship. Couldn't ask for anything better.
Speaking of relationships. 2082 miles away from home and problems still follow me. It took a move across the country to get away from the drama of relationships and past boyfriends and past loves and they are still following me.
Except, I am not letting them get to me like I would have if I was in Toronto. Not only do I have a different lifestyle out here, I have a different state of mind. It's very positive. None of that can hurt me right now. All of that can drown in the Pacific Ocean. So, if you are trying to hurt me - get lost because it won't happen. There, I feel better.
Just a small note on the weekend. It was fabulous! Saturday night was amazing. So much confidence, so many new people, so many parties, so many drinks equals a headache on Sunday morning followed by a very lazy day filled with Sex and the City episodes.
