Closed Down a Place

A week and three days in Vancouver and I managed to close down a bar. Not bad. And I met a Brent. I'm mailing him a book that I had to review in first year undergrad when I joined the newspaper at York. It was about a guy who went around the world to the weed hotspots tasting and trying to obtain what is called the best weed. What a conversation on the first night out in Vancouver. I keep forgetting that I am in Vancouver.

I had the most fabulous night. I am so glad I got my assignment done and headed out. I was discouraged at first because the bus service at night is not the same thing as during the day. It takes forever! Around 15-30 minute wait.

I had a great conversation with the cab driver about Vancouver weather on my way home, but if you ask me tomorrow morning, I will tell you that I don't remember it. I do remember chugging beer. We had two pitchers left and it was past last call. The lights were on in the bar. It was a really great place and I really do enjoy this local girl's company. She seems to enjoy live shows as much as I do and was even trying to get me to come out downtown to a club that very night. Umm...it is 1:40 a.m. Vancouver time right now, can you imagine me closing down another place?

Tomorrow, two more parties. A house party -- for first year's to pre-drink before going to the main Journalism party. And if I remember this correct, I have to host a party at my place too. Yikes! hehe

Really enjoying my Vancouver stay.
