Back to Normal

What a week. With all the visitors, I haven't been concentrating on any of my work. I've fallen behind, but every time I look at my books and the ever growing to-do list, I just don't have the energy to attempt to do one of the items. So, I make up a couple of those lists and scratch off items as pretend play. How sad is that?

I thought I would enjoy the silence once everyone was gone. I was wrong. I realized why I watch so much TV - it's for the noise. It's for the feeling that someone else is living with me. And even having it on mute is very comforting. The flashy lights.

I'm still sleeping on the mattress that was brought in for my guests. I am still sleeping on the floor and I am loving it. It must be the feeling of being closer to the ground. I cannot make myself sleep in my own bed. I'm even using the extra comforter instead of my own. Really not sure why I can't go back to my own bed and have the owners take back the mattress. It would give me more room.

I'm currently working on a multimedia project with a friend on Granville Island. We took tons of really great photos in this printmaking studio and gallery. Now, I just need to write a script, pick the photos, edit the sound bites and be ready for tomorrow. Energy? None.

I had to write another article (this one wasn't being marked) and I did it last minute. Handed it in 2 minutes before it was due. What did that get me? A possible F if it was being market. Why? I mis-spelled proper names of cities in lower mainland. I was going to double check the spelling, but I completely forgot. Told myself I will do it once I finish writing. Umm..That DIDN'T happen. I am so pissed off at myself right now. Thank goodness it wasn't being marked.

I am nowhere near understanding php language for the website project and no matter how much I demand a programmer to help me with this, I am getting no responses. I keep reading the stupid manual on this cms and I think I grasp a concept and then it disappears the moment I try to apply it.

To top all of this, I promised my best friend in Poland I would create five short film clips for her economics presentation on Vancouver.

Why do I do this to myself?

Did I mention Halloween is coming (I hate Halloween) and I had to find a costume and I have to go to this party when I swore off alcohol. Yes.

Tip about my costume: I am going back to my "roots"...which roots do you ask, well, you just need to guess or wait for photos.
