Girls Just Want to Have Fun

That's exactly what seven girls did on Saturday night.

It was going to be all about them, and it was. And it is fun getting all dressed up and going to party somewhere.

Went to Shine. Not my scene, but no problem.

Bumped into a friend there with whom I went to the movies on Friday.

Friday: Went to see Across the Universe. Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. Singing along to the Beatles. Being pulled in by the intricate lives of all the characters (At the beginning, you get lost who is who). The imagery. The passionate verbal exchanges and then the screen goes black. Everyone was stunned. There must be about 20 minutes left in the movie. It now gets extremely interesting because the actors have completely pulled you into their characters lives and it all goes black.

No one at the theater was able to put the movie back on. Got a voucher instead. Luckily, the movie is playing at the theater five blocks from my house. No problem. It was so good that I would go and see it a hundred times.

I recommend. It is a must. Rachel Wood continues to stun me as an actress. First in Thirteen, then in Running With Scissors, now this. Cannot wait to see her other three movies, and whenever Manson's own movie comes out - if he ever gets that project finished.

Sunday: I went and got those curtains that I was thinking about. $5 each. Red linen curtains. There's a lot of red in my apartment.
