Going to Toronto

I've decided the best thing after all that turmoil I need to be around people who love me and can hug me.

I am headed to Toronto first thing Saturday morning and leaving Wednesday.

My parents are sponsoring the visit. I would never be able to afford it - unless more debt. And they really care about me. They want me there. And my brother is home too and he told me why he goes back quite often.

I don't know if I miss Toronto, I think I miss knowing that there's comfort there. Maybe if I stayed for two months like I wanted to, I wouldn't be going back.

But right now I am glad they want to see me home and no, I did not find a cheaper flight. Well, a tiny, tiny bit.

It is going to be good being around people.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to go up to Whistler to buy skis during their annual sale, but my friend Jordy is going to do it for me! He's going to check out the sales and if he can find something really awesome for me, he is going to get it and if not, there is another sale at the end of the month.

I remember how great I felt skiing last year and I think I need this more than anything right now. What a way to exercise and what a way to relax.

There is snow on the mountains already. The ones you see from UBC are really far north, and there's snow on them!!!

It was raining for a week in Vancouver and today was the first day we saw sunlight and I saw the snow and I couldn't believe it.

I forgot how much those mountains make me smile!

One of those mountains actually got 30 cm of snow this week - yes, ski season not that far away. I think I'll be hitting the slopes in just over a month.

I won't be a pro, but at the very least, I'll be able to get down a hill without wiping out. Few more lessons from him and I think I will totally rock!

Flight is in the morning - first thing and I cannot sleep. I am excited about seeing my friends and family.

They are all going to hug me.
